Introduction

Multi-ply Fabric(EP/NN/CC) Conveyor Belt

Product Classification

According to whether there is edge rubber: Molded edge belt and Cut edge belt.

According to the fabric type:
Polyester (EP) canvas conveyor belt (polyester belt, EP belt);
Nylon (NN) canvas conveyor belt (nylon belt, NN belt);
Cotton(CC) canvas conveyor belt(cotton belt, CC belt).

Product Use

It is widely used in coal, mining, port, metallurgy, electric power, chemical industry, casting, building materials, cement and other industries and places that need high-speed and fast transportation of materials, and it is used to transport non-corrosive block, granular, powder materials, bulk materials or finished articles.

Product Structure

The general-purpose fabric conveyor belt is made of multi-ply rubberized nylon (NN) canvas, polyester (EP) canvas or cotton(CC) canvas as the skeleton material, covered with coating rubber with different properties, and manufactured through calendering, molding, vulcanization and other processes.

Product Features

Nylon (NN) conveyor belt has the advantages of a light belt body, good elasticity, high strength, impact resistance and grooving. It is suitable for conveying materials in medium and long distance, large volume and high speed.

The polyester (EP) conveyor belt offers advantages such as a high initial modulus, good thermal stability, a suitable belt body size, high strength, low elongation, and excellent impact resistance. It is suitable for conveying materials in medium and long distance, large volume and high speed.

Heat and Abrasion Resistant EP Conveyor Belt for Sinter Plants

Hot sinter can expose a conveyor belt to continuous heat, abrasive fines, impact and repeated thermal cycling. This page focuses on EP fabric conveyor belts selected for sinter-plant transfer points and conveying lines where both heat ageing and cover wear must be considered.

GRAND RUBBER offers T2, T3 and T4 directions as separate selectable configurations. The final construction is selected against continuous working temperature, lump size, impact, belt speed, route length and required cover life. A higher heat grade is not automatically the best choice if the actual duty, carcass strength or cover grade is different.

Selectable Configuration Guide

Duty Level Total Strength / Ply Fabric Construction Cover Direction Top + Bottom Cover Continuous Working Temperature Typical Selection Logic
Standard EP800/4 EP250 × 4 T2 + X abrasion direction 7 + 2 mm ≤125°C Medium-temperature sinter and abrasive fines
Reinforced EP1000/4 EP300 × 4 T3 + X abrasion direction 7 + 2 mm ≤150°C Higher heat load with continuous abrasive service
Project EP1250/5 EP300 × 5 T4 + W high-abrasion direction 7 + 2 mm ≤180°C High-temperature project duty; impact and peak temperature require review

The temperatures above are continuous working temperatures. They are not material peak temperature, belt-surface temperature or an unconditional temperature guarantee.

Selection Factors

Buyer Input Why It Matters Configuration Decision
Material and continuous temperature Separates T2, T3 and T4 duty Heat-grade direction
Peak temperature and cooling interval Identifies thermal-shock risk Cover formulation review
Lump size and impact height Affects carcass and cover damage Strength, ply and impact protection
Belt speed and route length Affects heat exposure time Construction and cover selection
Required standard and test basis Defines acceptance evidence Order document and test plan

Standards and Quality-Control Basis

ISO 4195 and ISO 14890 may form the product and heat-resistance basis where applicable. DIN 22102-1 may be referenced when required by the buyer. Tensile strength, adhesion, thickness and abrasion requirements may be evaluated using ISO 283, ISO 252, ISO 583 and ISO 4649 as applicable. The final standard, acceptance values and available supporting documents are confirmed against the ordered specification.

Buyer Value

- Application-based selection links the heat grade to the real sinter duty instead of relying on a generic "heat resistant" label. - A controlled strength, ply, cover and temperature combination reduces specification ambiguity before quotation. - Order-specific evidence planning helps the buyer align inspection documents with the project requirement.

Inquiry Information

Please send the conveyed material, continuous and peak temperatures, lump size, belt width, speed, center distance, required total strength and ply, top/bottom cover thickness, edge type, operating environment and required standard. GRAND RUBBER will use these inputs to prepare a suitable configuration for review.

FAQ

What information is needed to select T2, T3 or T4?
Provide the continuous and peak temperatures, material, cooling interval, belt speed and route details.
Do the listed temperatures refer to the material temperature?
No. They refer to continuous belt working temperature and must be checked against the actual process.
Can heat resistance and abrasion resistance be selected together?
Yes. The heat grade and abrasion-cover direction are selected as a compatible configuration for the duty.
Which strength and ply options are shown on this page?
The selectable examples are EP800/4, EP1000/4 and EP1250/5, each with its own approved construction.
Can the cover thickness be changed?
The final top and bottom covers can be reviewed against lump size, impact, wear and project requirements.
