Basic Manufacturing Process of a Conveyor Belt
Rubber Mixing
Raw rubber is mixed with various additives, including fillers, vulcanizing agents, and reinforcing materials, to achieve the desired properties.
Fabric Preparation
Polyester (EP), nylon (NN), or other fabric materials are cut and aligned to form the belt carcass, which provides strength and flexibility.
Calendering
The mixed rubber is pressed into thin sheets using a calendering machine and applied onto the fabric layers on both sides.
Assembly & Layering
Multiple rubber and fabric layers are assembled together based on the required belt structure (e.g., 2-ply, 3-ply, 4-ply).
Vulcanization (Curing)
The layered belt is placed in a vulcanizing press where it is heated under high pressure. This process bonds the layers and gives the belt its final strength and elasticity.
Cutting & Edge Processing
After vulcanization, the belt is cut to the required width and length. The edges can be cut or moulded depending on customer needs.
Inspection & Packaging
The finished conveyor belt is thoroughly inspected for quality, then rolled, packaged, and prepared for shipment.
